Geometry

I am going to be teaching a high school student geometry. What are some good practices to use with a moderately to severely learning disabled student?
How do you go from the concrete to symbolic to the abstract with the learning disabled? How do you get your student to memorize the theoroms? How do you get the student to see the proofs?
