Hello. I am a first year graduate student and currently working in a rochester city school. I am looking for some guidance locating articles or books on the topic of Brain-Based Learning or Teaching. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Be aware, though, that “brain-based learning” is really cognitive psychology and that’s been around for a while. For some reason, some educators have at long last found their way to the teachings of cognitive psychology or learning psychology and are marketing it as “brain-based teaching.”It used to be the case that Northwestern University had a Learning Sciences department which had a great web site and listed many practices that are essentially “brain-based” teaching strategies. Try looking for that website and I’ll look for my catalogue. Did you do a search? I think one of the gurus of the brain-based movmement is a man named Eric Jensen.
