NVD NON VERBAL DISORDRE

I have read this term before in some of the postings on this site. However until I meet a child who is presenting with this disprder and only recently I have seen it written for the first time on a speech report I only took the information in at surface level.

This is a relatively new term to me. Could anyone fill me in on the background and possible strategies needed?
