TouchMath vs. Saxon ?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I recently purchased Saxon kindergarten and am homeschooling my 6yr.son. Would Touch math compliment Saxon ? Does it help with learning to write numbers?

I’ve never used Touchmath, but I have used Saxon. The Kindergarten and first grade programs include extensive practice in writing numbers. Unless you have concerns regarding his fine motor skills and ability to learn number formation I think Saxon alone would be fine.

Yes, there are fine motor issues. I am looking for a systematic way to learn to write numbers . any suggestions are welcome.
