Wynn or Kurzweil

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi,

I’ve tried both the Wynn and the Kurzweil reading software programs and I can’t see much difference. The Kurzweil is more expensive. Does anyone have any insight. I want to purchase one of the two programs for my son who has a language disorder.

Thanks Sandra

If you are only buying one version then the Wynn is probably the chearper way to go. They are both very similiar. Are you buying it for the capability of scanning and screen reader? If you are only looking for a screen reader than E-Text is cheaper.

I heard that WYNN has a new version coming out in OCT/NOV that has an added component that Kurzweil doesn’t have…you might want to wait until then and see what it is.

I haven’t used Wynn, but I found that Kursweil to be somewhat limiting, so if it’s more expensive go witht he other one.
