Favorite way to use Technology in classroom?? Please Tell Me

Well, here’s a hint — you should figure out what the student needs, and then figure out if and how technology can help — not figure out things you can do with technology and then try to fit them into the schedule.

Some of hte most popular assistive technololgy devices in special ed are Intellikeys and word processors such as DreamWRiters and AlphaSmarts.

I am a pre-service teaching [going through an alternative certification program] and I am researching the types of assistive technologies teachers may need to address some of the needs of their students. Have you used it for sometime?? What are the drawbacks to some of these applications??

I need some insight on how to better use technology in teaching special needs student’s a foreign language, mainly Spanish. Any advice out there?JoG wrote:

I work with SH students. High School age on high school campus. Using digital camera to make vocational task pictures for students to follow to complete their vocatioal jobs assigned. Will also use computers to develop student CDS for their portfolios/work experience and activities.
