help

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hello my name is Sam, i dont know if my topic is very relevant but i’m going to ask anyway. I am an A level design student and i want to design a teaching aid to help make learning more fun for children with learning difficulties and i was wondring if maybe somebody could give me some information on the sorts of things they currently use, maybe even e-mailing me some examples. It would be a great help and if my project works out hopefully the learning support faculty at my school will use and benefit from it. Many thanks Sam

This sounds interesting but excuse my ignorance what is an A level design student? What kind of things are you able to design? I’d love to help if I can understand it a bit more.

But check out “LD In Depth” and “for Teachers…” . THere’s a lot of fairly lousy stuff out there slapped together in a hury.

Check out www.discoverytoysinc.com. Many of their products are used for children with disabilities. Maybe you can get some ideas of what’s out there. Let me know if you want to know more.
