I recently saw a magazine with a picture of Tom Cruise on the front cover. The caption was “I was embarrassed because I couldn’t read” (or something like that). Does anyone know what magazine, and what month it was from? I was in a hurry and remember seeing it as I rushed by. Now I want it for a Self-Determination project I am working on.

Sorry, I don’t know the magazine either but in the March/April, 2001, issues of Perspectives, a publication of the Learning Disabilities Association of Missouri, it indicates that Tom Cruise, because of his dyslexia, learns his lines by listening to a tape.

Sorry I don’t know what magazine you are talking about, but in a book I read there is an article about him, and a list of others with learning disabilities, and how they overcome them. It is called something like, A World Upside Down and Backwards, really good book. I probably didn’t help you, but my kids love the fact that Tom Cruise has a LD like them.
