Changes to the Message Boards

The font is too big. It takes too much space on the page and makes it hard to read the entire post no matter how short it is. It would be better with a smaller font. LD OnLine Adminstration wrote:

You had a great chat room screen, font and display format last year. The new one is terrible. The recent message posting system had stopped saving messages for months sometime last year and now has less history online. That was a mistake. Many key content items are viable forever and saving disk space etc. by cutting down the message history file is not acceptable for such worthy content. Disk space is cheap. User hits are not.

I don’t know if you have someone new in charge..but the message system is getting worse not better. Why not make it better with new items like….auto email to users on selected topics or key words. Example when a key work like “IEP” gets entered as a message have it auto email users that sign up for this topic.

Time for some new or better tech leadership at online.org….but that is just my opinion. I’m just glad has heck you have the site to start with…it really helps.

Hi, one of the things I like about message boards on the net, is the anonimity they offer. This new board shows my IP address, I can see other peoples IP addresses, It is not hard to track someone down if this information is shown. A lot of people who post here wouldnt want their districts being able to identify them, so could you do something to stop showing our IP addresses? or tell us what we have to do so they dont show?

Maybe I’m just a creature of habit, but I liked the old format better. For me this font is too small. I was able follow the old message board much better. Maybe it is going to take me some time to get used to this one.

Try not typing in your e-mail address. It worked for me once, maybe it will again.
