Hello -
I would like to chat privately with some of the people who post here. Does anyone know if it is alright to ask for people’s e-mail addresses here? Before this new format was established, participants were able to include their e-mail addresses. Perhaps I am not looking in the right place?
Thanks,
Phoenix
Re: E-mails of participants
THere’s a place for email and if you include it, someone can e-mail you but you the address is hidden. If the name’s in blue, click on it and you should be able to send an e-mail — if the person replies it should have their address included.
If it’s not in blue you can still ask :) — just ask the person to email you privately and you’ll get it started.
The advantage to doing it t his way is I can’t just comb the board for addresses, collect ‘em & spam you. It’s been my burning desire to do that for months now ;)
Re: E-mails of participants
I used to post my email, but found that private correspondence was eating up my time. Many of us prefer to post publicly so that more than one family can benefit from exchanges of information. It’s fine to ask for a private chat, but be aware that not everyone has the time for it.

Re: E-mails of participants
I think it is okay to ask and people frequently do. If anyone objected you would be aware as soon as you asked.

Re: Thanks to all of you who responded
Thanks to all. I guess I didn’t realize that if names appear in blue, that their e-mail addresses were included.

There’s still a place for e-mails right under your name and it’s certainly fine to ask someone for their e-mail if they don’t choose to share their e-mails..
