CAPD Evals in DC Area

We used Ruth Walton at the Speech and Hearing Center at George Washington University a couple of years ago. She was very helpful in giving feedback and wrote up a thorough report.

Our evaluation was done by Marcia Jeffries of Wake, Kendall, Springer, Isenman & Associates, 5247 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Suite 4, D.C. (202)686-7699. She was knowledgable, helpful, wrote a comprehensive, useful report, recommended remedial strategies, and willingly gave advice to us and our son’s teacher.

Another source is the Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville. The telephone number is 301-424-5200. My son had an evaluation there during the summer of 2000. I was very satisfied with the testing and evaluation.

Were you referred to GW by another Dr.? If not how do you get to go there?

Ditto Ruth Walton at GWU Speech and Hearing. Call 202-994-7360 and make appointment. Very pleasant, she returns call, good report, etc. I’ve just followed up 2 years later with another question.

We did self-pay, so I don’t know about insurance, referrals, etc.
