Anybody found anything that helps improve language retrieval problem? Does PACE cover this? Any other programs you would recommend?

WHen I’ve got a kiddo with those issues I do a lot of language generation work with them — have them think of things that are in a grocery store, things they’d see on a soccer field… or more sophisticated like things that are underground ro thigns that are small and expensive. If they have trouble coming up with things I have them visualize the scene.

There are exercises like this in Diana Hanbury King’s “Writing Skills for the Adolescent” (or something like that) from EPS (www.epsbooks.com) which is not expensive and *full* of ideas.

The only therapy I know of that specifically attempts to address language retrieval issues is NeuroNet (http://www.neuroacoustics.com). Some parents report improvements in language retrieval problems from FastForWord (http://www.scilearn.com). PACE does not address language retrieval issues.
