Testing Deadlines

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Just trying to make sure I have my calculations right!! If I signed and returned to the school a consent for testing on October 24, 2001 the testing should be complete by tomorrow, December 7, 2001 and I should have copies by Monday December 10, 2001. She didn’t not have school on November 12, 22, and 23. She also had a few half days and was out of school for one week.

I live in Massachusetts and believe it it 30 school days to complete testing. Two days after completion that results are available and they must have a team meeting within 15 days of completion of testing.

Do they get extra time because she was out sick or they had half days?? They have completed a speech and language eval. and last Tuesday started the woodcock Johnson. She was supposed to stay after school yesterday for 3 hours so the women testing her could continue but she called and cancelled. She is also supposed to come to today for 3 hours after school.

I amjust wondering if my calculations are right!!

Thanks
Dawn

I don’t know about Mass. but in Vermont and most other places the deadline is for the meeting date and it is 60 days. A couple of states still have the 45 day timeline but I don’t ever recal it being quite so detailed. The federal regs say “within a reasonable time” or something to that effect.
