Kathy,

You might check with your state’s chapter of the International Dyslexia Association. I think at one time our chapter had a video rental program and that video was definitely on the list.

That is so funny! It was right under our noses! Thanks for letting us know, Annie. I’ll have to see what else is up there!

I have all of Rick’s tapes they are AWSOME and make a huge impact. YOU have got to see when the chips are down. This tape discusses how to maintain the child’s self esteem, why they play the class clown, the typical personality profile and why. I used all of his tapes as a inservicing tool to nurses. I am a pediatric nurse and encountered many nurses that I worked with did not have a full understanding of the impact having a learning disability had on a kid who they were trying to do preoperative teaching or postoperative teaching with. Of course it was a subject close to my heart:-) They viewed all the tapes, but the one that made the most impact was “when the chips are down” I had night shift nurses coming to me and telling me how this was the first time they could sit through an inservice without having to try and stay awake! Hey that is a great endorsement when you are talking about someone who has worked all night long and now had to sit through an hour long video!
