sensory integration therapy

Wondering if anyone has gone through the therapy for sensory integration disorder with an OT.

How were the results?

I’ve seen kids I treated with SI therapy make gains it short amounts of time I didn’t think were possible in terms of speech and learning. Does that help?

My son has just been evaluated by an OT and her recommendation is to have a Sensory Integration eval. done. This is the fist I have heard of this but am very curious about this. We go next week to have it done. I will let you know about the progress.
I look forward to hearing from others about this also.

Get the book _The Out of Sync Child_ by Carol Kranowitz. Lots of good information in it. My son has been getting OT from the school for the past few months. We’ve gotten some good ideas on how to provide the sensory input he needs.
