We Americans think we are so very clever, that we have
all the answers, that ours is always the best by default. I read thru posts and emails of parents who over and again are completely stymied when they are trying to obtain educational services for their autistic children and I can’t help but wonder what is the value of our national arrogance, and our superior legal system when so many families are denied what they are granted under Federal Laws and State Regulations.

I am not prepared to leave the country and renounce citizenship yet, but it is interesting to contrast our smug superiority with a little taste of what goes on in other corners of the globe.

Here is one little glimpse into a seemingly successful
program of integration in the classroom:

And just how trustworthy are our schools anyway:

you no I have never really thought about whats being done to our children this way, but you are right. My son’s friend did something in our neighborhood and the police went to the school and questioned my son with out my knowledge, and scared the crap out of him. When he got home i asked him why didn’t he plead the 5th amendment? his answear……….. I’m just a kid mommy, I didn’t think that applied to me! So, there must be more to your message, that even you and I realized!

dad, I saw a brief cnn news blurb about a woman suing (a doc?) because she claimed that the mercury in her child’s fillings caused the child’s autism. Wish I could say more but I don’t always listen that closely if I am not specifically tuned into the boob tube with my aid in. Just thought it tied in somewhat with the mercury topics I have read in the past from your posts.
