What is offered in CA? Cert of completion/GED/Diploma/occup

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anyone know how to find out what the standards for graduation are in CA? We will be moving from Washington in two years with my son in 8th grade. I am currently homeschooling p/t and special ed p/t. I am really terrified he won’t be able to get a GED or Diploma so he can get a job or go on to the community colleges.

Any info or direction would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

The graduation requiremements for public high schools is 220 credits. The best place to check on this would be to do to the www.ca.gov website and then go to the education pages. The requirements have recently increased and on certain school web pages, they are not posting the actual requirements, but the average number of credtis their graduating seniors acquire.

If this doesn’t help, please email me at [email protected] and I can get a document from my school that has all the information you will need.
