I have just attended an IEP meeting with regards to me10 year old niece. I came away from that meeting very disappointed. I am new to this whole procedure and I need help in how an IEP should look. the IEP, the teachers had, was not specific to my her needs.
it appeared to be a general IEP. does anyone have any suggestion as to how I can become educated with creating an IEP specific to for her needs?

Try looking on this website at LD In-Depth, there are articles about IEP. Also try the Wright’s Law website. http://www.wrightslaw.com they also have some good articles.

Hi Dottie,

Also try the IEP_Guide in Yahoo groups, and COSEP in Yahoo groups (Coalition of Special Educaton Parents).

Good luck, and ask lots of questions in places like this! :)

thank you so much for your info. IEP’s are new to me and I want to ensure I am on the right track, with as much knowledge as I can get in regards to the IEP process.
