Just wanted to say Happy Father’s Day to all of the wonderful fathers out there. Even if they are not here yackin on the board, there are many, many, many fathers who deserve a pat on the back for the support and love that they show their children, and for our purposes here, especially those with greater need for their support, patience and understanding.
My husband is one of those great fathers and for this I feel our family is very fortunate. He has let me steer the boat on advocating up until this year when our oldest son took a drastic nose dive and the school situation became a brick wall with Mom not being heard. He is learning what an ugly mess all of this is but most importantly has become an active voice.
The turning point was watching the video “How Difficult Can This Be” (F.A.T. City Workshop) by Rick Lavoie. He was finally able to see what was actually going on.
But thank you to all Dads who support their children and advocate either alone or with their partner. Hopefully you are aware that your participation in this process always makes a difference.
Here,Here! I agree:-)
My hubby is a wonderful dad too. Like most males he see’s thing in a concrete kind of way. But what a team we make! My kids got him a shirt today, that says,Dad,rocks! Kind of sums it up:-)
May god bless the father of two boys…. Happy Father’s day:-)
