Information about medications

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Does anybody know of a good -, unbiased source of information about the various medications that get mentioned all the time (ie, prozac, wellbutrin, ritalin…) I don’t really understand the subtle differences between some of them, and we are having that conversation with our doctor. THANKS

I’ve heard good things about the book titled “straight talk about psychiatric medications for kids” by Timothy Wilens.

You can also get a patient leaflet from a pharmacy on the medications .They are usually brief, tell you what the medicine is for and side effects and is easy to read. You can take it to your doctor to discuss your concerns.
