I am wondering what is the difference in subtests of comprehension between the WIAT reading comprehension and the GORT comprehension.
My son has significant differences in the scores (measured in SS)
WIAT reading comprehension= 91
GORT comprehension= 100
Also under GORT what does SR Quo stand for and is 88 (SS) bad for that?
Both of those scores are in the average range (the 91 and the 100) so it looks as though his comprehension is actually okay- even improves a bit maybe when he is reading connected text as opposed to a couple of sentences.
SR Quotient I think means Silent Reading Quotient- A Quotient is the same as a standard score. This is in the low average range and if it is silent reading then it would suggest to me that his comprehension improves a little when he verbalizes what he is reading more deliberately. This is not especially unusual and could indicate some pretty effective coping strategies for him.
