Worrying right now

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Today is my oldest sons big day and I can’t help but worry. It is 1st final day. As most of you are aware he is taking health this summer and although he is doing well so far it is his 1st final. While he was studying he seemed to feel overwhelmed at the amount of material that would be on the test. I tried to help him relax best I could be he still seemed to be apprehensive, I hope this does not interfere with ability to keep focused. Please think good thoughts for him as he is taking this big hurdle. Thanks for all your support.

Poor kid, he took the test today and not only that the teacher threw in the test that was missed. The missed test was the teachers fault he forgot to give it to the class. So not only did the take the final they took a unit test. He gave the unit test first that the kids were not expecting to take and then the final. The schedule conflict threw my son off and he feels he did not do well. We are leaving for vacation for 2 weeks so it will be that long before he knows how he did. I told him what was important is that he did well for most the class, did it on his own ect. I am sure he is going to pass the class but not as well as he thought after today. Now I have to figure out how to keep him from losing the motivation and keep in mind the lessons he learned. Thanks for all your all thoughts they were much appreciatted.

Only consolation is that other kids were operating under similar constraints. So teacher will have to take that into account in grading. Can’t believe he did that though. I would taken average of earlier exams as missed test.
