Hi Again,
I hope everyone is doing well. I am so happy this part of our summer is ending. It has been 6 weeks of a grueling schedule for the kids. As much as I am glad we complete this Wednesday, I am so thrilled with the IM program. Magic cure -it is definitely NOT. But, I am very pleased with the changes I am seeing. I should also mention that we are doing cranial sacral therapy and a bit of gentle body work with a chiropractor.
I posted last week, listing a few changes. I have seen more in the past few days. He can find things now. Before, whatever he was looking for would be right under his nose and he wouldn’t see it.
The best way of putting it is that my son is participating so much more in life. It is just not all passing him by anymore. He has totally gotten the concepts of time and money down cold! Hand eye coordination has improved as has timing—though he will probably never be an athlete. His motions are still jerky-but much improved. We will see if this will help on his skateboard….he too has one he seldom uses.
He is much more sensible (though that has always been one of his positive characteristics…unfortunately, LD can get in the way of full development of that trait), no arguments at bedtime, tolerant of his sister, ready to go, doesn’t need transition time…just ready to get out of the car as I pull into the parking space, crossing the road is even coming along pretty well and today he even made me a pot of coffee with a ham and cheese sandwich.
I hope your children get as much out of this program as he did.
Ciao for now,
Margo
Hi Margo,
Sounds like your son is more oriented to time and space - wonderful improvements! My dd also benefited from IM. You said your son’s motions are still jerky-but much improved.. How many sessions has he completed? My dd originally completed 17 sessions but a year later we went back and had her complete an additional 8 sessions. Improvements were definitely more dramatic with the first 17 but we continued to see improvements with the additional 8.
Thanks for sharing your good news!
Blessings, momo
