How long till the "experts" concede? autism

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

The Diet, specific batteries of supplements, gut
healing/probiotics and chelation have all been found to be
helpful with a portion of the current herd of autistic
children. Still, despite the actual gains witnessed by
parents, teachers, therapists, family and friends (and the
occasional “maverick” dr.) the official prognosis for
autism is a) find a residential placement and b) get on
with your life (they don’t actually use those words, but
they might as well).

Hi, my name is Teresa Sewell, my 10 year old son was recently diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome he was diagnosed with ADD at age 5 things are pretty rough at school right now, he is in the 4th grade and his regular education teachers thinks there is nothing wrong with him they think he just doesn’t pay attention and doesn’t finish his classwork and get into trouble sometimes. I hope my husband trys to learn as much about Asperger’s as you seem to know. Hunter is using Dr. Corbier who is a pediatric neurologist in Montgomery, Ala. he is a DAN doctor, he has put Hunter on a gluten free casein free diet until April 1st, when we go back to the dr. he is going to run some blood tests to see if there have been any changes. Keep posting or you can e mail me anytime. Teresa

A great place for your old man to begin to learn about Asperger’s is the OASIS site (link below). Another excellent site is Dana’s View (also below).

Many Aspies respond positively to the Diet (although the proof is most often in observation; the medical tests currently available are fraught with false positives and false negatives to the point that they are functionally meaningless). Another thing I would strongly suggest you do is to have your child screened for toxic metals, notably lead, mercury, arsenic, antimony, nickel, cadmium and aluminum. If he has elevated levels, they can be reduced through chelation and very often noticable improvemtn in cognition and behavior result.

Good luck to you woth both your boys…
