Book on Vision Therapy Exercises?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I recall reading here some place about a book with VT exercises you could do on your own. Does anyone remember the name and author? I’m trying to get it for my dd’s PG tutor. Her day job is teaching at a specialized public school for kids with severe emotional problems. A 15 year old student she has is unable to read despite PG and LIPS. The SLP says that language in general does not appear to be an issue. I recall Rod (I believe) saying that the kids he couldn’t inititally teach with PG did much better once they had VT. The school budget is of course limited, so the only way it could be tried for this child would be do it yourself on the part of the teachers. Thanks.

I have one I really like called “Developing Your Child for Success” by Dr. Kenneth Lane. I ordered it directly from Dr. Lane’s website. I don’t know anything about “Eye’s on Track,” but it sounds like it may be good too.

Here’s another website for you: http://www.vision-therapy.com/Books.htm

Dr. Lane’s book is excellent. It is very comprehensive.

I was one at my optometrists office that had exercises designed to be used with an entire class. It was not as comprehensive as Dr. Lane’s. It was called, “Eyes on Track.”

I am sorry I don’t have an author.
