Hi, my name is Jen and I am an elementary education major at Bethel College. I am doing a project on learning disabilities. In my presentation I must incorporate a clip from a movie that portrays what a student with any kind of LD is like. I’m having a hard time trying to find one. I have found many with mental impairments, but have had no luck with LD. Does anyone out there know of a movie that I could rent or buy that would help me for my class. Please respond ASAP! Thank you.
Re: Movies with Students with LD
“Rainman” is not about LD, but about autism.

Try this website:
http://www.disabilityfilms.co.uk/
They list all different kinds of physical and learning disabilities.

Here’s an easy one — videotape “The Simpsons”. Bart is (yes, exaggerated, it’s a surrealistic cartoon after all) an example of ADHD and dyslexia. If you videotape reruns for a week or two you’ll get some of the schoolroom episodes.
Thank you K
I skimmed thru this site, and tho I do not agree with all the opinions in the reviews, it is a very good site overall, and may prove to be a valable resource.
Re: Thank you K
I just skimmed the site for movies, I honestly didn’t read much into it!!
I am glad it might turn out to be helpful!
