EMAILNOTICES>noHas anyone tried a product known as Pedi-Active A.D.D. by Nature’s Plus? What was the response? Good? Neutral? Other? Here are several URLs: http://www.naturesplus.com/defaultm.htm http://www.pediactive.com/In terms of herbal approaches to ADHD/ADD, there is some real evidence that a very, very small group of those wtih ADHD/ADD can temporarily pay attention - attend better with coffee - caffeine - caffeine compounds although it’s known that caffeine is a weak medicine so it simply does not work for everyone at all. Sources: Domeena C. Renshaw, M.D., Anita Uhl Brothers, M.D., The Merck Manual. In most cases, Ritalin/other medicines/other approaches work better.

Greetings pgd,I am not familiar with Pedi-Active A.D.D. though I will check out the website. However, you might also want to check out the BainPlace link below. This website deals with the work of Dr. Daniel G. Amen. All three of his children have ADD and he has devoted the past 15yrs of his life researching ADD. At this website, he identifies 6 types of ADD and lists the various anti-oxidants & supplements that have helped treat them. Not all types or severities of ADD respond to anti-oxidants & supplements but he also indicates the various drugs his patients have had success with. This website also has an interactive checklist which helps you narrow down which type(s) of ADD the person might have. Well worth the read.Blessings, momo

My son, who is 9, has dyslexia and has recently been getting in trouble at school for not sitting still and doing his work. He makes A’s and B’s, but the teacher is irritated by his behavior. He has always been a quiet super easy child. I think a lot of it is the age. He has never been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD. We have been working with a tutor for about a year now, and he has made super progress. He has a very high IQ, so I wonder if the teacher is just not keeping him entertained.??? Anyhow, I had been doing some research on natural supplements for active children. I decided to try the Pedi-Active A.D.D. He’s been taking it for about a week. I know it’s still too early to tell, but I was wondering if anyone else had tried it or had any other suggestions. This is such a wonderful website for information. Thanks!!!
