My 8 year olds son psychartrist perscribed Trazedone 50 mg to help him sleep.Has anyone had any experience with this med?He is also on Wellbutrin and it seems t work for his agressive and anxiety problems for what they think is ADHD.

I have no experience witht he medicine you mentioned, but my son is now a former insomniac. The medication prescribed for ADD, Adderall, used to keep him awake into the wee hours. I had success with giving him Twin Labs GABA Plus about an hour before bedtime. It is GABA, an amino acid, and two of the vitamin Bs, niacinamide and inositol. It a natural relaxant and can be found at a health food store or a vitamin shop. I’m sure there are other brands that would work just as well, but I haven’t tried them. This worked and when I find something that actually works, I don’t argue with success.
