Auditory Integration Therapy

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I have a parent who is considering enrolling her child in auditory integration training via an Earducator system. What can anyone share about the research that supports the efficacy of this program?? The child (5th grade) does have a significant learning disability in Reading decoding & comprehension as well as Written Language. However, there is not a diagnosed auditory processing disorder or ADHD. What I have read to this point about this program is that it seems to be more geared to students with autism, CAP or ADHD. What do my LD Online friends know??

Be careful is the word of the day. There are lots of therapies out there that work best on the parent’s pockets.

With those kinds of deficits, I would be looking at spending my money on some LMB or OG based reading program.
