I have a 12 yo son with ADD who changed from Ritalin to Concerta in the past few months. It seems to work much better with him and his appetite during day is better but we are recently experiencing problems with nighttime mood swings. My doctor wants to keep him on the same meds so trying to find other ways to work with mood swings. Would appreciate hearing from anyone with methods/ideas that have worked for your child. The mood swings might be the effects of the medication wearing off. Tapering the dose might help.
