hi
I read on one of the posts that they put their add child in gymnastics and it really helped their child. Are there any sports or activities that might help focus for these children that any of you know about ?
thanks
Re: sports
hmmm, well, standing out in left field and forgetting baseball existed was not a good one. Gymnastics, tennis lessons have gone well for us. Soccer, too. I think the social aspect has been important, too. The interests of the child play into it. Ballet would be great for some but everybody.
Re: sports
My son loves football. He is a real banger and crasher. He can’t wait to start lacrosse which is an excellent sport for someone who is fairly ambidextrous. I think piano is also great. Requires concentration and gets the left and right brain working together. I agree baseball was a bust, too slow. Most of the kids were in the field looking at the sky.
Ice skating has given my younger guy incredible balance. We seem to have a balancing, I guess vestibular issue, in my family.
We had started but didn’t finish tae kwon do. I wish I had worked harder to keep him in it. He quit because a friend did.
I will start my little one in tae kwon do soon.
Re: sports
Thanks for the info. My daughter played soccer last fall and will again this spring and is in two sessions of swimming now. She wanted a violin for Christmas but school doesnt offer lessons untill fourth grade. Maybe Ill check out privet lessons. Do you think that maybe these kids know whats best for them?
I know my son knows what is best for him.
If they love something they will succeed. The should also learn to pursue what they love in life.
Is there anything better than developing our childrens’ passion? The most creative, successful people in the world share one thing: passion.
I hear a lot of folks speak highly about taekwondo. Swimming is good too.
