Do you have any suggestions for books that are especially appropriate for the learning disabled child? I would be happy with some sites that you might recommend. I would be delighted with any insights or suggestions.

A *whole* lot would depend on the individual child — interests, reading level, specific difficulties, sensitivity to what the book looks like (I’ve had students who didn’t mind reading beginner books *at all* because they were highly motivated to learn — and others for whom the big print and pictures were an attack on the last shreds of their self-image).
