I am curious more than anything. Yesterday I posted a link to a report that had just come out from the National Institute of Mental Health. It was about the effect of amphetamines for people with lower levels of frontal cortex activities. It was not primarily about ADHD, but it mentioned ADHD, and of course, there was a strong correlation. I thought it was really interesting and just another foreshadowing of all the dimensions of ADHD we’ll know in a few years as more and more is learned about the brain. I was so surprised to see it purged after an hour or so. Does anyone know why? I’m not mad or anything, I just don’t get it. Thanks for any ideas.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone thought that it was a Ball alias. Another possibility is that it may have by accident during the daily Ball purging.

Anything that is at all anti-stimulant gets deleted. It seems that this board is sponsored by the drug companies and because of Ball posting content deemed inappropriate paranoia is running rampant here.
People did not have the discipline not to respond to his taunts. I for one liked what he had to say I just didn’t always like the way he said it.

those that have been on these boards awhile know that occasionally things get lost in cyberspace. I don’t think it’s necessarily that you are being censored. There is nothing wrong with posting controversial opinions as long as you are not bashing women, teachers, doctors, parents who choose to medicate or any other group of people and using profanity with a letter or two deleted to avoid detection software.

I’d suggest sending an email to LD Online asking why your post had been purged. To alert those in charge that your email, which was intended to be helpful, had been purged, seems a helpful action. In fact, if you have a copy of the email, I’d suggest sending it to them.

It was innocent enough. A newcomer asked a question about her ADD boyfriend. I welcomed her and suggested she might get a better response on the Adults with ADHD board. She must not have been offended as she e-mailed me a thank you!
Maybe in the webmaster’s quest to keep ahead of certain problems we have been having he/she is going a bit overboard?
