I am using PGx (and “Bob Books”) and HWT with my son pretty successfully and our charter school is trying to talk me into SSR&W. My gutt is telling me stick with what is already working…is there any reason I should consider switching? Thanks!
Re: Sing, Spell, Read & Write
Thank you so much for your input…it gives me encouragement to do what my gutts are telling me (stay with PGx…he loves it!).Nadine
PASSWORD>aa4um5Lp2CxdUMy experience over the last few years has led me to conclude that you are usually better off sticking with a program unless you or your kids are unhappy with it. When you switch to something new, there is an adjustment period for you and your child- every program does things in a different order, so you usually end up back tracking to make sure you aren’t missing something, and the format of lessons is different, so you have to get used to a new routine. I have core dumped curriculum in the middle of the year when my son was unhappy with it, but if something is working pretty well, I don’t change just because the grass looks greener on the other side. Besides, SSRW will be more expensive and take more time than what you’re doing now.Jean: I am using PGx (and “Bob Books”) and HWT with my son pretty
