LD 9th grader

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi there!
I am so glad to have found this forum! I homeschool 2 sons, and one has learning struggles…visual perception deficit. He really struggles with math. I also am a certified LD teacher and currently investigating all I can to help him with this. The web sites all of you have offered are so wonderful. He is an artist and a delightful young man with high self esteem. I just want to help him with this math! One day he gets it completely, the next day it is gone…he gets very frustrated with himself. Especially since younger brother is in 6th grade doing algebra. We will be checking out all these sites in detail, I just wanted to say thanks and I look forward to your imput.

Let me know what you find. I have a 7th grade son with visual perception difficulties. He is struggling with math when it comes to geometry, drawing 3D figures, doing tesellation, translation with figures etc. Hopefully we’ll find some answers!

HI I am thinking about homeschooling my son who will be in the 9th grade he has the same problem as your son the school he attends does not concider it as a learning disability so they just lable him as a problem because of this he is angry and has very low self esteem sonshine wrote:
