Hi everyone, my name is Darcy. I am thinking about homeschooling my daughter this coming fall. I would love any advice, or if anyone knows the right curriculim for a child that has Asperger syndrome (high functioning Autism). This will be all new to me ,and I am a little scared to try it, but, I know it will be the right thing for my child. My daughter is 9 yrs. old and is in the 4th. gr., she has allot of sensory issues just being in a classroom at her school now. She is very hyper-sensitive to noise and certain lighting can be a problem. I know she would function better at home. If anyone can let me know anything about “homeschooling”, please e-mail me. Thanks for your time. Sinerely, Darcy
Re: need to know all I can about homeschooling!l
Darcy, here is a nice site by the parent of a child with autism and she has a section on homeschooling:

Janis
http://www.resourceroom.net/Surfin/index.asp#Homeschooling101 has some links that mightbe helpful.
There are some email groups of homeschoolers with kids with AS but I don’t know their contact information.
