Does anyone know of how I could find people who are homeschooling as groups? I don’t think I could pre-school myself (maybe I could), but what I would really like is the idea of pooling resources with another parent or team of parents…by providing time, energy, $$, and my child be part of the homeschool. Do such coops for children with LD (especially dyslexia / APD) exist? How owuld I tap into this?
thanks for any feedback
Re: home school coops for APD, Dyslexia?
Mark,
Consider contacting Mike Minsky at the Greenwood School. He helps parents homeschooling dyslexic students.

Re: home school coops for APD, Dyslexia?
Mark,
I was really lucky when I did this in my small rural town. It was basic networking: church, homeschooling organizations, tel a graph, tel aphone, tell a Mom. I put up some posters at the library, at the supermkt. I called in to the local radio station when they did their things to sell program.
I gather they have a lot of coops in Texas and I’m also curious as to how they were set up. I’m trying to do the same thing again and I know it’s not going to be easy, but I’m going to try to get somehing in the paper and see what happens again….
YOur best bet would be to check out the homeschool support groups in your area. http://www.midnightbeach.com/hs/listlist.f.html has a list though I don’t know how updated it is. The child in question is a pre-schooler?
