If you have been working with students in college for 10 what % graduated and what % did it in 4 years, 5years, and 6 years, and 6+? What colleges have successful programs for college students with lds?

With students I worked with over 90% (may be more but I moved so I don’t know about all of them).
With support it is around 80% without it is more dire and gets to be around 60%. Graduation is usually around 5 years but that depends a lot on support solid adivising and major.
Where are you from?

I am from NY state. Thanks. When I look at graduating stats for nonld students it frightens me as a parent. I expect a useful degree at the end of the road. When I think that lds will make things tougher it is frightening to take out those student loans. They do need to get repaid.

On the other hand students with LD many times have more realistic With proper support Vogel reeported even higher GPA’s by junior year.

What characteristics do you observe in successful academic performance at the post-secondary level. I am a high school LD teacher and feel I have very few students that will experience success at the next level due to the lack of skills, work ethic, and overall learned helplessness. It would be really helpful to be able to provide these students with some incentive to get involved in their education. They seem to think that college is a lot like high school with all the the “saving” that occcurs. I’ve tried to tell them otherwise, but who listens to an old teacher. Please advise
