I would like to do the same as well as a group for adults with LD/ADHD etc.

Contact the school for rerourses and then go to a resteront that will serve you in a small area or back corner. Tip well and you don’t have to pay for a room anywhere. Word of mouth will travel fast and you will get responce from teachers looking to help and parents with questions about their children. You might even get a few of us who have A.D.D. and L.D. to show up in time. DON’T GIVE UP! It’s like the Wendy’s comershial, if you make it they will come. Let your childern know you are going and thill know you care about them too.

I agree with Mike Stephen, start a group and even if only you and one other person shows up, at least that is one other person in your corner!!

Send a notice to radio stations and newspapers, most will run a free announcement for non-profits. Also, posts notices at the bulletin boards in local grocery stores or mail them to surrounding towns. Also notify pediatricians offices, advocates, audiologist, etc. Anyone who may have contact with parents of LD kids.

Many parents just don’t know how to contact other parents. More importantly most parents don’t even know there is a problem. They go to the meeting they are told everything is ok, there kid is average and they take it for what it is worth!

Target those parents as well.

It only takes one person to make a difference, don’t give up!!

I have a place in Nashua N.H. right off the high way with really good food and it would not be a problem to meet their if people are willing to show up for one once a month while the summer is here and then after that every other week is not to much or to little. I work at a hospital so getting the word out would be easy.
