Are any of your districts placing kids as LD Listening Comp? If so, what is used to diagnose it? My district uses the WJ-III, but I have a feeling that the majority of kids just get the academic subtests and not LC. So to my knowledge, no kids are being placed LD Listening Comp. I’m just thinking that APD kids might fit into this category if their reading scores do not quite meet the discrepancy requirement. I wonder if you could use a test like the TAPS-R instead of the WJ-III to diagnose the LD in LC?

No, I am not placing kids for listening comprehension. That overlaps with receptive language and that would place the child in language/speech services.
