Inspiration software

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Any inspiration software experts out there? I love it so far but….

I downloaded my 30 day free trial. My son is writing a report. We wrote it in outline form. We looked at it in the web form. His teacher had him start with notecards, then to outline form.

Here’s my question. Now that I have this beautiful outline what do I do with it? I’m hoping I can change it into paragraphs without retyping it all and adding details along the way. Or, do I just have to retype it? This is a really cool software.

I love it so far but I don’t know how to go from outline to draft? Or, do you just use the outline, print it, look at it, then retype the words?

I haven’t used Inspiration much for anything but outlining so there may be a way to do this within INspiration— but assumning the computer can handle two big programs running simultaneously, open up ye olde word processor and just select, control-c (or command-c if you’re appling) and then control-V onto the word processor.

What’s nice about this program is that you can have two windows open on your desktop. Put Inspiration on one half of the desk top and your word processing document on the other vertical half and then easily cut/ copy and paste from one program to the other. It works well visually and is easier for students to find their place.
