Phono-Graphix Word Work Kit (with reproducible worksheets)

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

I happened to have the opportunity to take the Phono-Graphix training twice. Therefore, I have an extra brand new Word Work kit. If anyone is interested, let me know, and we can email details. I will let it go at a discount to what it would be from the company. I have one friend in the same situation, so actually there are two kits available.

Janis,
I’m interested in your extra kit, especially if you can see it at a discount! I don’t know if you are a teacher, but I am taking Project Read training this summer and have spent money on some of the additional materials in this program so I don’t have a lot extra right now—but I have wanted the Phonographix worksheets for quite a while. I have read both of the program books–the Reading Reflex book and the one by Carman McGinnis and, although I don’t have the actual training, I’ve used the method successfully with many kids, especially my little guys. I posted to you later on this board also but then saw this post. My E-mail is [email protected]. Please let me know about your extra kit. Thanks.

:) :P Hello all,
I am a fifth grade teacher. I was surfing through many sites the other night and came across your communications relative to Phono-Graphix Word Work Kit. This sounds very interesting and needed for my students. I must admit that I am not familiar with this kit at all. I am always looking to add to my classroom with effective tools. Please advise me on availability and price. Anyone with more info about this, please respond.

Thanks,
velma

Hi, Velma,

Phono-Graphix is a program that teaches children the sound-symbol relationships so that they can learn to decode words. If you have fifth graders reading at first or second grade level, then they might need this program. Although, it is best to target these weaknesses much earlier than 5th grade.

I have sold my set but am in the process of checking to see if there are other extra sets for sale. If I find out there are some, I’ll post back here.
