I have read with interest the various remarks about Welbutrin. My son takes Adderall twice a day, and Paxil (20mg)once a day. Is Welbutrin used with stimulants like the other anti-depressants? How does it differ from Paxil, Zoloft, etc…
My son’s doctor is very reluctant to try different meds, but we aren’t seeing much of a difference with the Paxil. He was originally put on Paxil for depression (He’s 13). What are the side effects? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
Wellbutrin is not a tricyclic, it’s all in its own class. We’ve had great luck with tricyclic antidepressants—ds got tics while on stims, tried them all, still tics. He can take tenex (not as sedating as clonidine, our pedi neurologist says), and nortriptyline.
