thank you for helping through the years

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

My daughter has Auditory Processing and is 11 yrs old. I posted many times for help and every answer was wonderful.
I am writing to tell you that she is finally using all the strategies and applying herself. It is like all kicked in this year. I am proud to tell you that she has recieved 4 awards for academic effort.
To all parents…Please do not give up or stop supporting your child. My child has a long road ahead of her. She still can not pass the state exams but hopefully with time and patience she will pass. If she does not pass then I will research every school that does not look at them. make sure that she graduates and gets a diploma.
She wants to be a school teacher so she can help others with LD.

Many thanks

That is very encouraging news! I am so happy for your daughter. I also like your attitude about the state tests… to just find another schooling option if that becomes a stumbling block for the diploma. Good luck!

Your effort and persistance has paid off. Congrats to you and your daughter. She will in turn reap the benefits of her efforts. It’s amazing how as time passes as does the torch, you will have experience and knowledge from which to pass on to others and now become part of the solution! This type of bb has so much to offer parents and their children. It’s great to hear about success and proof that perseverence has it’s just rewards.

Best regards.

Andy
