Epilepsy

I am curious, does anyone think that when a child is having epileptic seizures, his brain development is interrupted? If so, say a child has 30-50 petite mal seizures a day, would his maturity and brain development be delayed?

Not from my understanding. But learning disabilities and epilepsy frequently go together. The which came first applies I guess.

OTOH, LEARNING might be interrupted. Say you have 40 little seizures that make little holes in your lessons. It would sure have an effect. Many times kids have more seizures during school.
