How to find simple pictures with v/v ?

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi,

I am trying to use V/V with my son who has language delay(specially expressive and cognitive) so I can see picture to picture will take a period of time for him to proceed with next step.
In the mean time, I am looking for good and simple pictures that I can use to practice.
Do you have good suggestion how can I find the materials ?

Thanks,
Shelley

Do you have the manual? There are suggestions such as one central figure. Color (the ones in the book need to be colored in), simple activity by central figure etc. BTW, I think the ones in the book are hopelessly WASPish for my possible population. I tried to show a little ethnicity with the coloring…

Uncluttered coloring books (you’ll have to do some coloring!), are probably your best bet. But I think if you can also find some really simple illustrations that could work as well. Even materials from an educational store like action/object cards. The main thing is that they be very simple.
