When in the wild, trolls can be found living in caves, crevices in the sides of canyons and under structures such as bridges, where they feed upon small furry animals, bugs and whatever carrion may be laying about.
In the sub-urban environments such as internet chatrooms however, they feed upon the attention given to them by unwaring persons who reply to their often deranged monologues.
As with other vermin, the best course of action to end an infestation to to make unavailable their ready foodsource.
Sometimes you may see a great flurry of activity as the desperately forage for sustinance; however, if you remain firm and resolute in keeping this away from them, they will move on to those areas where the grazing is more plentiful.

I agree. The less attention this troll receives the better. I think that he/she feeds off of it, he’ll/ she’ll probably always keep popping up now and then, but we could deter a lot by not encouraging this behavior.

I’m on board with that-No replies would take all the ‘fun’ out of it. I posted an article on bullying as a new topic because I couldn’t bear to go inside Cathryn’s thread and read what was posted.
I guess if this was a site dedicated to your favorite movie star or some such trite stuff, I could take it. But it is parents desperate to find help for children. Talk about kicking people when they are down and desperate. yeech.
I remember all too clearly what shape I was in when my daughter was sinking fast and I didn’t know what to do. This board was a great help to me in my quest for info. I’d like it to be around to help others.

I agree! Could you imagine coming here for help when you were at your lowest and get the Troll’s responses? Yuck! Thank goodness that I am at a better place and hope I can help others like I have been helped!

You seem pleased with yourself in your “exclusionary” post. You may not know it (maybe you had your little fingers in your ears when the info was being given out) but your are posting to a PUBLIC message board. Making your rallying cry for discrimination and exclusion is the same as if I asked posters not to respond to you. Since the moderators obviouslydon’t find grounds for excluding whoever you are referring to, your call for same is illegitimate and contrary to the spirit of this forum. I hope the moderators will take note of your rule-breaking and take appropriate action.

I did read through several of your suggested links, but found them to be irrelevant to the topic of this board (ADHD) since they referred to neural tube defects, more commonly known as Spina Bifida. Suggest you discuss your issues with the parents of children with the same.
As far as this being a public board… You are mistaken about that. This is a private forum with open registration policies. As such, the board owners are free to limit the type of postings here. Suggest you read the forum rules and discuss any issues you have with the free exchange of ideas as perceived by them with the moderators.
Even were this truly a public forum… There is a difference between 1st Amendments Right to free expression (which believe it or not I do support fully) and speech which is designed to be hurtful using slander or malice, which is not only not protected under the Constitution, but can actually result in criminal and/or civil penalties (a very good example of this concept can be seen in the Newman/Fields film “Absence of Malice” which may be interesting enough to hold even your limited ability to attend).
Also, I believe that under the rules of this forum, that a request to NOT engage in counter-productive arguments involving irrelevant personal attacks is actually more in line with the spirit of the forum than in making gross generalizations that cannot be supported. I will post the rule which I feel is relevant to this:

If you feel so strongly that it might be you I was refering to, that must mean that you are the said troll, and acknowledge that your tactics fit the profile of the same.
However, do feel free to refer this thread or any others I may have posted for review. I am sure that the moderators will be able to clarify the board’s policies for you, and will only delete or otherwise censor those posts which are offensive.

Dad great post! I would love to see the “usual posters” make a deal to stop responding to the troll. However hard it is I know we can do it! I have not responded to him in quite awhile. I have found myself typing replies to him to vent, I guess, but I don’t post them. I am done feeding into him. I hope others will follow my lead and “talk” around him. This sight has a lot to offer and I don’t want to see it over shadowed by him.
