Mom with Ld and children that are ADHD

Hello, I am a mom of four children wha is very overwhemeld. I am finny acepting my dislexia and ADHD. i am trying to function but I cannot seem to hold a job without doing something stupid. I am spose to go in for screening in a week and is very nervoius about it. until 4 years ago I tought i was just stupid and i have been surching for help sience. 2 of my children are ADHD one is ADD and the other is Bi polar. need less to say we are an interesting house of forgetting things. I drive my husband crazy most of the time, telling him the same story over and over asking hime the answer for a question more than one. I get lost going anywhere more than 15 minutes from home and have to call my husband and friend to get me back to my area. what are some things that my help and why does all my kids have this probem? Is thier help for dislexia? meds? or what. I heard the state will give ssi for LD. does any one know anything about that, jobs make me feel like a failure most of the time. Thanks for listening

Hey Mom, I wonder how you’re doing? I am always curious to know how grown women, especially moms, deal with these disorders. Any changes at your home?

Hi

I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I am not a mother with kids with ADHD. I am just a 21 year old who got diagnosed with ADHD, Dyslexia and Nonverbal Learning Disability last year.

I find myself asking the same questions and telling the same stories too. Everyone gets so upset by it. Including me. I am starting to know I am doing it I just dont know how to stop.

Well anyway I just wanted to give you some support.

There are some things that I do to compensate for my disabilities that have worked and they have nothing to do with meds. If you would like more info feel free to contact me.

If you have trouble with left and right like I do. One suggestion is to lable your car. I did and it works great!! On my steering wheel it says left and on the other side it says right and gas. It works!! Then you start to learn them too.
