you could be banned from even VIEWING these boards. Have I been hurtful? derogatory? No, well never mind, because I was banned from these boards simply because I am outside the US for awhile.
Many thanks to those who helped me on the start of my journey into the land of LD/ADHD. It was such a tough time but thanks to Janis, Rod, Jenny, MaryMN, SAR,socks, dad, victoria, andy and many of the old timers who encouraged me to provide my child with books on tape, who clued me into vision therapy, who kept me sane when I wondered if my child would ever read beyond the ‘waz for was’ stage. Thank you for showing me PG and Great Leaps and Handwriting without Tears. Thanks for encouraging me in dark times when getting the right diagnosis looked so tough. Thanks for helping me weigh the to med/not to med issues with facts. I appreciate the information and encouragement through the most dark days of a destructive classroom teacher. I have gained insight on how to handle the homework, the time management and organization issues and my daughter is currently able to manage with only simple accomodations. Many of you helped by simply posting so that I could read through the issues particularly in the sensory integration area which was news to me.
Frankly, I am livid that all that garbage can get through and get posted but I can be banned for being merely being outside the country.

Yes. when I complained to the moderators they said they were getting attacks from servers out of the country.
The thing to do is to complain to your *own* ISP (Internet Service Provider). The ISP that is shut off the site is either knowingly or unknowingly providing space to people who are launching attacks. If unknowingly, they should check up and remove privileges from the troublemakers. If knowingly, it is the hope that when they get enough complaints they will decide this stuff costs them too meny subscribers and stop it. Either way, it helps to speak up.

If I may offer what I think is happening? The moderators have said in the past that the imflamatory posts/threads that seem to appear in the middle of the night orginiate from foreign servers that are set to keep moderators from backtracking to individual computer numbers and real ISPs. I am computer illitorate so I hope that sentance makes sense. Perhaps this was their attempt to stop those posts? If so, it appears the baby is being throw out with the bath water.
