research help

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hi everybody,

I’ve received approval to gather data on my new research project, so I’ve put three surveys onto the web. One is a student survey, and should be students of at least middle school age (preferably high school or older) who have a learning disability. Then there is a parent/caregiver survey for those parents/caregivers who have taken care of a student with a learning disability. The third is for English teachers. (Within the next month I’ll be expanding my IRB to include all content-area teachers.)

The information that I’m gathering will help me understand the level and types of accommodations that students are receiving from regular education teachers, their participation in the IEP process, and everybody’s attitudes towards all this.

Here are the links:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=78106433255 parent survey

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=10453429957    English teacher survey

If you can participate in the research and help me spread the word to others who could help with the research, I would be most grateful.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi everybody,

I had a bug in the survey, but it has been worked out. I’m sorry to any of you who had a problem answering the questions. If you have time to go back and try again, I’d be most grateful.

Thanks in advance, Jennifer

Not to detract from what you are doing, but you do realize what your nickname signifies, yes? ;)

Yeah, my kids and I are big Harry Potter fans, and Sirius Black is my favorite character in the books. He can transform into a dog, which, being a dog person myself, seems particularly wonderful. :D
